Wine Tours in Tuscany - Guido's Tours

Ahh, sadly we are back in the USA. We would much rather still be in Europe sipping Chianti Classico! Thank you so much for treating my family to three wonderful days in Italy. We had a wonderful time and really appreciated your reliability, your expertise and your friendly personality. We all agreed that we were sad to say good bye to both Italy and Guido!
I am so glad that we found you on the Internet. I really feel that travelling through Tuscany takes some expertise--I think it would be quite challenging to drive those Tuscan roads, and at the same time try to find the quaint towns that you took us to. We definately could not have had the same experience on our own.

We all had trouble agreeing on what part of our tours we liked best. Part of my family absolutely loved day 2 where we visited San Gimignano and Sienna, and found the shopping and lesiurely strolls to be perfect. We all agreed that our lunch in Monteriggioni was particularly enjoyable. On the other hand, my dad, husband and I absolutley loved day 3 in Montalcino, Montepulciano. It was such a treat to experience Tuscan wine country. We all appreciated you helping us to see the sights that we wanted to see in Assisi as well.

Guido -This is Vince Birdsley. I am finally getting around to thanking you for the tour on May 8th from the Gem in Livorno. My entire party really enjoyed our time in Tuscany and Frattoria le Corti. I only wish I'd have purchased a bottle of that reserva it was so damn good!

I can't believe its been a month since we spent the day touring Chianti and Tuscany with you. We had such a good time, and I wanted to write to say thank you for all that you did.

We learned a lot, and had so much fun too...sorry we weren't more "awake" the second day. I think the long airplane flight (and the car ride to Civitavecchia) caught up to us.

I want to thank you for what turned out to be the best day of our trip. We so thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the countryside of Chianti, learning so much from you, and tasting such exquisite foods and wines.

We will definitely be coming back - maybe next year- and will be looking to have you as our guide again. Only this time, we will leave the kids at home.. And maybe bring a few other couples with us.

I do have a question- What was the name of the 1st winery we visited? We bought 2 bottles of olive oil there but want to purchase some more and have it shipped.. Any advice you may have such as a website or contact would be wonderful!!!

We finally made it home last night after staying an extra day in beautiful Florence due to a flight cancellation. Hi Guido,
Just wanted to thank you for the tours we had with you and Giavani. We enjoyed them a lot. I also enjoyed the depth of your knowledge of the wine from Tuscanny. We certainly enjoyed the wine. Just at our Villa over the 2 weeks we were there we went through a equivalent of 78 bottles of wine for the 8 of us, not counting wine we had when we went out to eat.
I really enjoyed touring F…….. and A……. They had some very good wines and it was a great time to visit with the harvest and fermentation underway.
Also thank you for making the reservations for us at the Ufizzi. We were there right on time and we enjoyed it very much. Without the reservation we would have waited in line for a couple of hours
Not sure I will ever get back to Tuscanny, but you helped make our visit ther memorable.

My wife, Susan, my brother, Gerald, his wife, Terry, and myself took a day trip with you in mid October 2008 through the Chianti Classico Region. I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that we have discussed this day of our trip to Italy many, many times and consider it one of the true highlights of our trip. The country was beautiful, the ride was comfortable, the conversation was most enjoyable, the lunch was great, the wine and wineries were wonderful, but the real joy was your passion for the region and the wine. I hope you were not frustrated with trying to teach a few “rookies” about the wines and olive oil of the Chianti Classico Region. The trip was even more enjoyable because it avoided the “tourist traps” of Tuscany.
